Rules MX Rookie 2008
The MX Rookie is raced in the category: MX2: Age 15 – 18
Riders that either qualified this season 2008 or scored points in the previous season 2007 are NOT allowed to enter in this category. They will be automatically transferred to the MX Light class.
Other pilots can register for one of the following categories:
- MX LIGHT
- MX2 : Age under 25
- MX POWER
- MX2 : Age 25 and up
- MX TALENT
- Open class Age 15 – 18
- MX RANGER
- Open class Age 18 till 25
- MX DIE HARD
- Open class Age 25 and up
- Only riders registered before juli 1ste that received positive acknowledgement can participate
- Riders are required to sign the entry list at the welkom.
- To register at the welkom following documents are required:
- License holders: License
- Foreign riders and not FAM or VMBB riders: Document from their federation that proves that they are insured for personal injuries for this event.
- Minors (-18) from Flemish federation: valid ‘sportpas’
- Signed Entry permission that was included in the confirmation email. For riders under the age of 18 this document needs to be signed by their legal representative. (one of the parents or legal guardian)
- Riders are obliged to use the given MX Rookie number plates.
- Before participating in any practice, the rider has to present his bike to the technical inspection. With non-running engine and with his licence. Riders are allowed to start a race with a different bike only when noted to technical control.
- Riders need to enter the closed park at least 10 minutes before training or heat starts.
- Engines of the bikes in the closed park can only be started after the sign of the race director. Engine warm-up will be at least 2 and at the most 5 minutes. All supporting personnel (including coaches and mechanics) must leave the closed park during warm-up. As from the starting of the engines, at most 5 minutes waiting will be allowed in case of a defect engine. As from the order to leave for the startgate the starting procedure must be followed. The starting procedure will not be interrupted for any reason whatsoever.
- The use of an environmental carpet is obligatory.
- Cleaning of the bikes has to be done in the bike wash area.
- Sound level of the bike is set at max. 96dB. (recording FIM – UEM rules)
- It is absolutely forbidden to ride the bike, or any motorized vehicle, in the paddock or anywhere outside of the track.
- Open fire is not allowed
- Any circumstance not included in this document can and will be judged by the organization.
